PROJECT UPDATES – December 2022
In February 2023, HRSD will continue its sanitary sewer replacement project with work beginning on Park Avenue between Bainbridge Boulevard and Rodgers Street. Construction will include the excavation of the road and sidewalk to replace the existing sanitary sewer pipes.
--Utility Work to Continue--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, has begun work to install a sanitary sewer pipeline along Wythe Creek Road. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
--Shoring Work to Begin--
HRSD, your regional wastewater treatment utility, will begin work to install a new sanitary sewer pump station and rehabilitate existing sanitary sewer pipes and manholes in the Phoebus neighborhood. This work should take place primarily between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

On November 8th (Construction Notice #13), we informed you that all manhole and initial road restoration on Park Avenue was estimated to be completed prior to Thanksgiving.

This project will provide HRSD with critical, missing information on the condition of the river crossing, as currently there is not a means to identify if a failure occurs at that crossing.
